Sonic fell to the ground, and rolled slightly, then stopped. His body shook, him trying to get up, but he was too weak. He smashed a fist against the ground as looked around him.

All his friends were on the ground, hanging on the thin line that separated life and death.

Only Tails was still up. “S-Sonic!” he yelled, getting hit by Shade, and he was lifted into the air. “Ahhh!” he yelped as he crashed into a wall, and fell.

“Hehe,” Shade said. “How pitiful. Sonic and his friends coming to their end. Not even Shadow, the Ultimate Life form, could stop me.”

Pure anger coursed through Sonic’s veins. He began growling.

“Hmm?” Shade turned his head towards Sonic. “Still up I see? Heh. Don’t even try Sonic the Hedgehog.”

The ground began to shake, and the chaos emeralds, scattered about the room, began glowing.

“Not even Super Sonic can stop me,” Shade laughed.

“You... You’ll pay... For what you’ve done!” Sonic growled. The shaking began getting more violent. The wind in the air picked up, and the building walls began swaying.

Shade took a step back from Sonic, seeing his fur turn a very dark purple, a purple aura around him. “What is this?!” he asked.

Thunder could be heard as lightning flashed, crackling across the sky. The wind picked up even more.

“Raising a storm?!”

The shaking caused a split in the ground under Sonic, due to it’s ferocity. The wind had ripped the building apart, tossing the walls into the sea nearby. Miraculously, no one was cast into the wind.

Thunder hit the ground where Sonic was, hitting him, and causing the ground to crack, and Sonic fell into the hole it made in the ground. Thunder could be heard as lightning cracked the sky, bolts flying everywhere, some of them hitting the ground. Fire came out from the grass the sparks made. There was no rain.

“Is this what chaos is?” Shade asked, taking another step back.

A figure rose from the hole Sonic had fell in. It was all black, with no pupils in its eyes. A dark blue power aura surrounded the figure. Lightning sparked wildly around it. He moved his hand. The wind was like a tornado around him, whirling the unpredictable electricity around him.

“S-Sonic?!” Shade said, aghast at the power Sonic had generated.

“Hehehe... Ready Shade?” Sonic asked. His voice sounded like a devil had let itself free within him. He landed, causing the ground to shake wildly, cracks and gaps appearing.
